An Introduction to Agriculture-Nutrition Linkages (Mozambique)
This report was written in 2012 for the Ministry of Agriculture in the Government of Mozambique. The author proposes that most development professionals are sectoral specialists and that very few will be trained in both agriculture and nutrition. She provides a framework to identify the linkages of greatest importance and consider how to take steps toward integrating programs through biofortificaiton, ag-based diet diversity, gender, and other approaches. Given the complexity of these linkages it is important to think beyond advocating for a single approach and to instead think about building a larger, coherent strategy that comprises many varied approaches.
