FAO has published an expansive 350+ page book filled with briefs from a past conference, titled “Improving Diets and Nutrition: Food Based Approaches.” In addition to the original proceedings, the document includes a range recent experience from FAO offices and projects, such as one article cataloguing lessons from food security programming across 100 countries. (pg. 362). Editors Brian Thompson and Leslie Amoroso gather 20 specific recommendations for project programmers, which include providing more attention to diet quality and diversity, and providing clear & practical guidance on how to integrate nutrition objectives into both policies and programs.
