Trade and Nutrition Technical Note
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) cite trade as an important means to achieve the goals related to food security and nutrition, but many stakeholders remain underinformed regarding trades influence on nutrition and how to maximize positive impacts.
This FAO technical note responds the need for information on trade and nutrition, providing an overview as well as focusing on the “nutrition transition” and the extent to which policies affect nutritional objectives. The authors end by highlighting knowledge gaps in the trade-nutrition agenda that should be addressed to support evidence-based decision making.
