This Guide shows effective planning and execution of food safety risk communication. It aims to provide the necessary information and tools to 1) establish a checklist of food safety risk communication actions, 2) enhance individual communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders, and 3) explore different approaches to deal with ever-evolving food safety challenges depending on audience characteristics and cultural contexts. Chapter three defines food safety and its characteristcs, while Chapter five provides fact sheets for six food safety issues to better understand them and develop effective messages.
