Field Exchange (FEX) is ENN's online and print technical publication on nutrition and food security in emergencies and high burden contexts. The first edition was produced in 1996 in response to a demand by international agencies for a way to capture and rapidly ‘exchange’ humanitarian programming experiences, to share relevant research, evaluations, news, and to offer a platform for technical views. It is produced three times per year in the English version. The publication features articles across sectors (health, nutrition governance, social protection, agriculture, food security, etc.) and from a range of contexts, from acute emergencies to fragile and conflict-affected states. Once a year, a special focus issue is launched (previous special issues have been on the HIV programming in Southern Africa, on the Syria crisis, and most recently, on nutrition-sensitive programming).
All editions are available online and in print. A selection of content is available in French.
