Checklist on the Criteria and Characteristics of ‘Good’ National Nutrition Plans
This SUN UN Network publication is the first step towards standards and guidance on developing quality nutrition plans for country governments. It aims to assist the systematic review of existing multisectoral efforts and to refine a set of recommendations measured against five thematic areas: situation analysis, stakeholder engagement, costs, implementation arrangements, and M&E. Those areas are broken into a series of 17 criteria such as “SMART nutrition targets” and “governance, accountability, management and coordination mechanisms”, each with their own suggestions to what constitutes a high level of quality.
