Spotlight on Nutrition: Unlocking Human Potential and Economic Growth

This event is part of the World Bank Group Spring Meetings and is co-sponsored by The U.K. Department for International Development (DfID).

In-Person registration is open through April 3rd. You must take two steps to attend the event in Washington, DC:

  1. Visit the World Bank / IMF Spring Meetings site and register as a guest.
  2. Email mmehta2(at)worldbank(dot)org with "Registration: Spotlight on Nutrition" in the subject line.

Or join online. You may watch the event online on April 22nd. No registration necessary.

Nutrition is a key driver of economic development, serving as a foundation for healthy individuals and societies. Investing in nutrition yields permanent and inalienable benefits, with at least a $10 return on investment for every dollar spent. However, malnutrition still affects one in three people globally, including the 156 million children worldwide who are stunted.

As a follow-up to the October 2016 Human Capital Summit, join this event for a panel discussion on the importance of nutrition as an investment to unlock human capital and economic prosperity. This high-level event will serve as another collective step forward to mobilize political commitment and financial resources towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goal of ending all forms of malnutrition by 2030.
