Catalyzing an Agriculture-led Transformation for Food Security and Wealth Creation in Eurasia
October 3 - 5: The Annual Eurasian Food Security Conference is organized by the Eurasian Center for Food Security (ECFS), the World Bank, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA). The event will bring together key agri-food sector stakeholders, food policy experts, representatives of academia, donor organizations, and civil society to discuss policy research priorities for improving food and nutrition security in the Eurasian region. The Conference sessions focus on the following issues: 1) priorities for policy research to improve food security and nutrition in Eurasia; 2) innovative interventions both by the government and the private sector that help boost food and nutrition security at household and community levels; 3) natural resource management (including soil management) for food security; and 4) case studies on food security in Eurasia.
